I didn't use any toothpaste until my daughter learn to split (1 year and 9 months). I was using just water. Sometimes I brushed it with a leaf of sage or mint.

It is very important that babys first experience with caring for teeth is pleasant so the taste of the toothpaste plays a big role on that. My baby loves the taste of this and he always works with me when brushing. I recommend this toothpaste. I tasted it to and the taste is pleasant to me as well.
