Description
This beautiful, authentic Fair Trade African Black Soap by Akamuti is traditionally handcrafted by a women's cooperatives in Ghana, West Africa. It is made of 50% pure, organically grown shea butter & wildcrafted palm oil. The lye that is used in the saponification process, is made from the ash of dried cocoa pods.
There are no chemicals, preservatives, colour enhancers or fragrances added to the formula. The black shade of the soap develops as a result of the saponification process which it undergoes. It is completely free from black dyes & charcoal.
This soap has a very mild scent & a wonderful creamy lather, which leaves your skin moisturised and soft. African Black Soap is one of the healthiest soaps for the skin due to the purity and simplicity of the ingredients.
It leaves the skin smooth and soft making it ideal to use on dry and problematic skin. Use as a body soap on all skin types.
This soap comes packaged in fully recyclable paper and cardboard (made from 70% recycled cardboard). The cellophane used is of plant origin and thus fully biodegradable.

A small piece put in a jar with warm water melts in a few hours and makes a liquid soap that you can customize with other oils/essential oils as you prefer. There is no waste in this form. It lathers very well so a little goes a long way as a shampoo or for the body. It is well tolerated by my skin which is wonderful as I tend to have allergic reactions. I'm glad I found this!

NEVER SEEN THE RESULT I HAVE USING THIS! In just a week it has cleared my acne scarring 85%. This is so exciting because I have hated my scarred cheeks for a long time so to love my skin again is really refreshing!

This soap is pretty good and it doesn't dry out the skin but for some reason if I apply anything else on my face after the soap my skin becomes really irritated, itchy and red for some reason. I stopped using this soap on my face and instead I started using it for my body and I'm loving it so far!

Yes, this soap is suitable for washing hair. If necessary, apply a conditioner after shampooing!
