I have short, highlighted hair and this works well for me. Lathers up and rinses out without residue. Use it every other day and it looks like it will last a long time. It does not go mushy, in fact it is a very firm shampoo bar. I am impressed.

Too harsh for my delicate hair

I can see how this works for many people, but my hair is wavy and very fine textured, so easily dehydrated. It's also gray now, colored, so also dry and porous. Something in this shampoo was too harsh for my hair, either the surfactant ( sodium cocoyl isethionate is gentler to my hair then the sodium coco sulfate) or the high amount of citric acid. Gave me plenty of flyaways and flat hair.
